Welcome to the Pre-Wrath Consortium

After much prayer and encouragement from many in the Christian community, we have decided to create this site as a symposium for those scholars who undertake the daunting task of unraveling the prophetic puzzle.

Your view of eschatology is important to how you live as a Christian.  If you believe in the 'Pre-Trib' rapture, your main expectation is escaping this world.  If you realize a 'Pre-Wrath' rapture, your main expectation is to complete the great commission.  One view promotes an escapism mentality, the other an urgency to preach the Gospel to the whole world.  It is our goal to validate the Pre-wrath teaching of scripture and prepare the Body of Christ to 'endure to the end'.  Even more important than this, our vision is to challenge the Church to become more concerned with the lost and become witnesses to their Jerusalem, Judea, and the utter most parts of the Earth.  

Paul was willing to give up his place with Christ to save his countrymen, yet many Christians today are more concerned with escaping the world than they are reaching it with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.  

In Acts 1:8 the Church was given the Holy Spirit to equip them to preach the Gospel to the whole earth.  We have not completed that task!  The rapture will not occur prior to our fulfilling the great commission.  Jesus gave us clear signs to look for that, as a herald, give us a clear indication to 'lift up our heads, for our redemption is near".  So, for now, we must now occupy our time with reaching the lost. We must take the Gospel as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

We pray that this site will help you study the Word and come to a place where preaching the Gospel becomes more important than escaping this corrupt world.  Many blessings to you as you grow in your knowledge of our Lord!

 

Many of us in the Prewrath Consortium used to hold to other views concerning the timing of the rapture.  We respect those who still do, and desire Christ's love to be evident even though we disagree on this one point of eschatology.  Our desire is to equip the Body of Christ to complete the great commission, not to divide the Church over man's views of end time events.  May all who teach the uncompromised Word of God unite as brothers and sisters in the Lord, even though we have different views on this point.  Grace and Peace to all!

The Pre-wrath rapture essentially states that the Church, the Bride of Christ will be taken up in the rapture prior to the wrath that will be poured out on this world during what many pre trib scholars call the tribulation period.  This 7 year period is known Biblically as the 70th week of Daniel.

When does the wrath begin?

Revelation 6 - at the end of the sixth seal:

Rev 6:15 Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains;

16 and they *said to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;

17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"
